Our History Shine LawyersShine Lawyers has a long and proud history when it comes to getting clients the compensation they need during difficult times. From humble beginnings in 1976 in Toowoomba, Queensland, the firm has grown remarkably over the years on the back of a strong reputation for getting results, forged through countless legal wins and positive feedback from clients.

Kerry Shine started the company with the intent to do things differently. He always believed in putting his clients first and instilled these values into the organisation at every level. Kerry later became Queensland’s Attorney General but before he left, he made sure his vision would be carried on to help many more people.

Kerry taught the ways of righting wrong to current leaders, Executive Director Stephen Roche and Managing Director Simon Morrison who have grown the firm into what it is today. By carrying on Kerry’s vision, imparting their own down to earth wisdom and by creating a community of like-minded people, Stephen and Simon have led Shine from strength to strength over the years.

Landmark cases have been won and many battles fought for hardworking good honest people. We’ve never been afraid to rock the boat or challenge the norm. We aren’t a typical law firm, and we love that. We do everything we can for the people who trust in us and it shows in our results and from the clients whose lives we’ve made that little bit easier.
